About
I studied a Bsoc Sci and postgraduate LLB at the University of Cape Town and then served as a candidate attorney with two prestigious firms in Johannesburg where I established my legal knowledge and experience in various fields of law and business, across a broad spectrum of clients.
I then veered away from the traditional world of law firms to become an Industrial Relations Consultant for LabourNet South Africa and the National IR Manager for the CSC Group. I moved back to Cape Town to start a family in 2011 and consult on Labour Law and IR for HWD Attorneys in Claremont before becoming an admitted attorney and moving on to consult in my own name.
With my specialised expertise and the ability to give sound legal advice; as well as my personal interest in my client’s needs; I put my experience into practice in a way that adds value, efficiently and effectively, without the attendant costs and constraints of a large law firm.
Approach
Like your body, your business will ail if it is not well maintained and cared for from the inside out. I maintain that “prevention is better than cure” and that by accurately applying the law at all stages of the employment process, businesses and individuals are able to avoid much of the angst and expense experienced when employment relationships deteriorate - just one of the advantages of sound labour law advice.
Contrary to popular belief, the Labour Law of South Africa is not solely beneficial to employees. Although it has its limitations it does provide the tools for building efficiency and productivity into the employment contract. This means that one may use the law pro-actively and thus ensure that one’s company runs more efficiently and therefore productively.
However, when employment relationships do sour one always hopes for a swift and cost effective resolution to the issue. My abilities and good reputation in mediation and arbitration and my concern for a cost effective solution are at your disposal.
I hope to be of service to you and your business in the near future.
